Mutant Chronicles: On the fence, off the fence, on the fence, yada, yada, yada.

I had been looking forward to this game for a long time, since I first heard about it, but was really bummed out when I found out it was a 'collectible' game, that really doesnt appeal to me anymore for some reason. Too much work and frustration for not enough fun.

I have enough income that I am get what games I want, when I want, and there is never a problem, but something just turns me off when I think that I'll have to buy a box not knowing what is going to be in it, and end up with a bunch of crap I dont need...

I am up in the air about this game, some days I want it and some days I don't want it.

I think what I am going to do is wait for it to come out and buy the main set and a few boosters and see how it all goes, someone mentioned that all the figures stats are included in the main set, so even without the exact mini it is still possible to play the full game (proxy), so that may be an option.

As far as it being 'collectible', it would be nice if there were no ultra-rare pieces that you are forced to buy froms scalpers on ebay. I could get past the 'collectible' aspect of the game if I knew there wasn't going to be a holy grail item that nobody can get, you know? Fantasy Flight will make their money off of selling people the same figures over and over again in boxes they can't see into, so... why make any rare?

What thoughts do any of you have about that? Any of you originally said NO to buying this, but now say yes, or vice versa after hearing it was collecible???

Just a side note: I wasn't really disapointed at the size of the figures, if anything, the larger figures might allow them to paint them nicer than something like say MageKnight... So the scale wasn't a problem for me, just the collectible factor.
