Thanks to everyone for your comments, and also thanks for your thoughts on rare cards, It is good to hear the game goes just fine if you have some or dont, with it not mattering... We really dislike the 'collectible' games where key cards or powerful cards are rare and are never easy to track down, it turns into a real pain...
I was at Walmart today and checked their card section, I was going to buy a few packs for me and a few for my son and see what we ended up with and how we liked the game, but... Walmart doesnt carry them! There are no game stores in my area, so I am going to have to order some online... Anyone have any ideas on where a good place is to buy?
Also, and forgive me if this has been talked about, I havne't been able to read through all the messages on BGG yet... but are there any variant rules that anyone would recommend that might make the game a little more complex? I know, the main point of the game is for fast and easy fun, but my son and I are really into strategy and combat, and I am sure we'd love to try out anything that would factor some more elements into this game (especially since there really are no good pirate games out there).
